The role of travel-related reasons for location choice in residential self-selection

چکیده
• We distinguish attitudes and reasons in the context of residential self-selection. Reasons are more direct indicators location choice than attitudes. have stronger negative effect on use other modes find evidence for multiple bidirectional causal relations. Compared to car bike, public transport is affected by built environment. Residential self-selection (RSS) theoretical mechanism that explains impact environment travel behaviour weaker bivariate correlations suggest, because mode influence both therefore at least partially account relationship.
